Apartment Franceschi - Sant Antonio

Sant' Antonio, a 800 years old Franciscan Monastery, is surrounded by 4 hectares of gardens on different levels, olives groves, forest and spacious terra cotta terraces offering privacy and wonderful views of the Valdichiana Valley and Lake Trasimeno on one side of the property and the famous rolling hills of Tuscany on the other.
Apartment Franceschi is named after Ilario Franceschi, Major of Montepulciano in the 1850's, who used Sant' Antonio Country Resort as his week end home and retrieve.
The apartment is situated on the 1st floor above the ex stables and has 2 late eighteenth century double bedrooms with one double bed with orthopaedic mattresses in each room, a typical Tuscan kitchen with an open fireplace that was used for cooking in the previous centuries, a living room furnished with 18th century furniture and on the walls are original frescoes done by order of Ilario Franceschi illustrating the country side. The only modern furniture in the living room is the presence of satellite television.
The bathroom consists of a double sink, toilet, bidet and shower.
The apartment has most of the original furniture, terra cotta floor tiles that were initially laid in the 14th century and the wooden doors full of character and history date back to 1750's.
The view from the windows are of Tuscan forests, rolling hills and olive plantations.
Guests have access to a large swimming pool, covered parking and computers with Internet access on the property. There is no phone inside the apartments. Please read the descripion of the resort below for further details on all facilities.
